Choosing the right acoustic underlay for a floating floor depends on three factors: your noise problem type, your subfloor material, and whether you need Part E compliance.

For Most Floating Floors

Our 6mm recycled rubber underlay (74dB) is the best all-rounder for floating floor applications. It provides excellent impact decoupling, adds mass for airborne noise, and will not compress under heavy furniture. Compatible with laminate, LVT, engineered wood, and parquet.

For Part E Compliance

If your floating floor is in a separating floor situation (flat, conversion, HMO), you need a complete system. Our 12mm acoustic flooring system delivers 30dB impact + 58dB airborne noise reduction — designed specifically for Part E compliance.

For Budget Applications

Our 3mm rubber underlay (54dB) is the most affordable option for floating floors where meaningful acoustic improvement is needed but the budget does not stretch to 6mm. Not recommended for flats or compliance applications.
