The Premium Acoustic Panel 17mm is designed for those seeking a lightweight and low-profile solution for high impact acoustic performance. This panel, measuring just 17mm thick and weighing only 5kg, serves as an overlay product that can be installed over existing floorboards or new structural subfloors. Its solid tongue and groove (T&G) jointed MDF finish allows for a seamless application of your desired floor finish, whether it be engineered wood, laminate, or timber.
This floating floor system requires no mechanical fixing. Simply glue the T&G joints using a suitable adhesive and apply a perimeter strip around the edges to isolate the panel from the walls. The Premium Acoustic Panel 17mm can achieve and exceed Part E of the Building Regulations when paired with appropriate insulation and an acoustic ceiling, typically involving an independent metal or timber frame ceiling fitted with acoustic and fire-rated plasterboard.
